A TEENAGE boy has been charged with robbery after a man was attacked while walking home.
The 34-year-old victim was walking home from Leigh station wearing headphones when a group of men approached him from behind in Flemming Avenue, Leigh.
He was attacked before one of the group snatched his phone and wallet containing a small amount of cash.
Police appealed for information in the Echo following the attack, which took place omidnight and 12.15am.
Officers have now charged a 16-year-oldfrom Norwich with robbery. He has been released on bail prior to his first appearance at Southend Youth Court on September 2.
