WAR memorials across Castle Point will be restored in an £8,000 project.
The memorials in Hadleigh and Benfleet commemorate residents killed or missing in the first and second world wars.
Castle Point councillors agreed to spend £8,480 for a specialist to carry out necessary repairs and cleaning works.
The Hadleigh memorial commemorates the 48 residents from the town who were killed or missing in the First World War.
The two memorials in Benfleet pay tribute to the 37 residents who died in the First World War and to the 43 who fell in other conflicts.
Work, expected to take five weeks, will begin in August 2015.
