FAMILIES are invited to Paglesham Village Show this weekend.

The event has been running for 68 years, and this year will include a fruit and vegetable show; working dog display; tractors and ploughing demonstrations; quad bikes and bouncy castles; and traditional village fayre features such as homemade cakes, tombola, and traditional games.

Rochford District Council’s Recycling Team will be hosting a stand, to offer advice and information on issues such as recycling and littering. It is a great opportunity for residents to take away useful new knowledge and giveaways, and learn how to reuse and recycle more, to help keep our environment clean.

Councillor Keith Gordon, Portfolio Holder for Environment at Rochford District Council, said: “Rochford District Council’s Recycling Team are very pro-active about going out into the community, to teach people how to recycle and keep our streets tidy, and this is a prime example of their work. This is important in order to ensure that our District remains a pleasant place for the visitors of today as well as for future generations.”

Come along and meet Rochford District Council’s Recycling Team at the Paglesham Village Show, between 1.30-4.30pm, on Saturday, August 23 2014, at Francis Fields, Paglesham.
