A SCHOOL launched its first ever children’s art trail with a theme of by the sea.

Sixty children from Chalkwell Hall Infant and Junior School took part in the trail, inspired by the Leigh Art Trail.

The winners were awarded prizes by Leigh artist Lynn Tait, arts group Metal and AC Taxis for their efforts.

Lynn was helped to judge the work by Maisie Smith, who plays Tiffany in Eastenders and Emma Mollica, operations manager at Metal.

Infant school winner Amelie Danby said: “This is the best day of my life.

“I have never won anything before.

The class are so proud of me.”

Headteacher Elaine Palmer said: “I am very proud of the quality of work shown by all of the pupils who entered.”
