A TEENAGE boy has been rushed to hospital after an ice cream van knocked him off his bike in Southend.
The boy, thought to be between 13 and 15 years old and a pupil at Futures, was struck by the ice cream van at 4.20pm this afternoon outside Hamstel Junior School.
The ambulance service were called at 4.30pm, a rapid response vehicle and ambulance attended the scene and took the boy to Southend Hospital with potentially serious leg, chest and abdoman injuries.
