A CYCLIST was rushed to hospital after reportedly being pushed off his bike in Basildon on Friday.

Police were called to Cranes Farm Road at about 9.45am following the road altercation.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital after suffering a fractured collarbone and cuts.

A 25-year-old man from Billericay was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He was later bailed until July 5.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses.
