West End operas being shown live in Southend

OPERA fans can see West End performances live on screen in Southend.

Masterpieces La Traviata, La Boheme and Rigoletto will all be broadcast from the Royal Opera House to the big screen outside The Forum in Elmer Square.

They will be screened on May 20, July 25 and September 17 respectively.

Fantastic news. I love my opera. Hope they provide lavs though, because I'll be knecking the chateauneuf du pape while shouting along with me favourite arias. Any news of which of the World Cup games will be shown on our big screen?
