CONSERVATIVE MPs helped double turnout at a prematch rugby club lunch.

James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, and his Conservative colleague for Southend West, David Amess, attended a prematch lunch at Westcliff Rugby Club at the clubhouse in Aviation Way, Rochford.

About 120 club members and guests attended the meal – more than double the typical attendance of 40 to 50.

The politicians chatted to members and stayed to watch some of the game, against Diss Rugby Club.

Lunches are held once or twice a month.

Interesting that they couldn't be bothered to put their drinks down for a photo that they knew that was appearing in the town rag. Do they have no class?
What next smoking a cigarette, standing with flys open or asking where the toilets are

Only needed Harvey Handbag and we would have got the set! They could have invited Basildons Mayoress, if they could have got her off her phone, she is normally up for a free lunch!
