FUNDRAISER Robbie Norton has donated £134 to Peaceful Place.

The Rochford charity helps improve the quality of life of people aged under 65 living with young onset dementia.

Robbie borrowed his friend Nicola Carter’s front garden and, together with other volunteers, held a community event in Woodleigh Avenue, Leigh, attended by Southend mayor Brian Kelly.

Dan Lawrence, chief executive of Peaceful Place, said “The money raised will be used to pay for activities and entertainment in our day centre and really will make a difference.

“We are very grateful to Robbie and everyone who helped to make this event such a success.”

A ladies’ pamper evening will be held in support of Peaceful Place at the Freight House, Rochford on Friday, April 4, from 7pm to 10pm. Admission will cost £2.
