THE AIR ambulance landed in the Seaway car park in Southend this afternoon after a man fell from a roof.
It is believed that the man was doing work in the roof of The Borough Hotel pub on Marine Parade.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We were called at 3.37pm to a man who suffered a chest injury after falling from a roof.
“We dispatched an ambulance, paramedic officer and the Essex Air Ambulance to the scene.
“He has been taken by land to Queens Hospital in Romford where his condition isn’t thought to be life threatening.”
Police were called to the scene to stop traffic obstructing the ambulance.
Staff at the pub declined to comment.
The air ambulance took off, empty around 5pm.
