A MAN has appeared in court charged with burgling five houses in two days.

William Coe, 25 of Malyons in Pitsea did not enter a plea when he appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He is accused of burgling a house in Malyons, Pitsea, Curlew Crescent, Basildon and Briscow Road in Pitsea on March 3.

He is also accused of breaking in to a house in Durrington Close, Basildon and Winfields, Pitsea on March 4.

Coe is also charged with stealing two cars on March 4 and one vehicle on March 3.

He was denied bail and will appear at Basildon Crown Court on June 2.
