Hinguar School flooded

A SHOEBURY school was flooded in the early hours of today.

Fire crews attended to pump water from Hinguar Primary School, New Garrison Road,  at around 6am.

The pupils' toilets were affected and the electricity had to be isolated.

Firefighters used an aqua vac to clear the water and left the school at 7.37am.

Despite the flood, the school is fully open.

IIRC the new South East Essex College building in Southend had similar problems when new......
