Police called to attempted stabbing in man's home

First published in Echo News by

POLICE entered a house with riot shields after a woman is believed to have attempted to stab her former partner.

Residents reported two squad cars arriving on Seaview Road, Shoebury at about 1pm today, armed with riot shields outside a property on the street.

One resident, who did not wish to be named, said he understood the victim had come home to find his former partner in the house they shared until about three weeks ago.

The man's former partner is understood to have attempted to stab him with a large knife in revenge for alleged infidelity before police arrived and placed her under arrest.

The man is not believed to have been injured.

As witnessed by those foolish enough to have commented on yesterday's article about the disgraceful behaviour at Basildon Council's recent meeting.
