YOUNGSTERS at Alleyn Court Prepatory School strutted their stuff for a fashion show as part of their history syllabus.
Year 6 pupils at the school, in Wakering Road, Southend, have been studying life in Britain since the Forties and brought history to life with fashion highlights from the 20th century.
The show went from the flatcap Forties to the goth and grunge stylings favoured in the Nineties, and every decade in between.
Head of history, William Wilcox, said: “The fashion show brought Year 6 children’s research on fashion to life.
“It delighted the rest of the school, especially as a number of staff joined in – relishing the chance to relive their youth.”
