Firefighters were called after a crane was in a precarious position in Leigh

At 10.40pm last night, Leigh crews attended Rectory Grove in the town after reports a crane needed to be made safe. 

The crane, on the development for the new Eden Point block of flats, had been moved in the high winds. 

Crews had dealt with the incident by 11.44pm.
