Lakeside says it is behind mystery orange bus

Southend Standard: Lakeside says it is behind mystery orange bus Lakeside says it is behind mystery orange bus

THE cat is finally out of the bag. The Orange Bus that’s been mystifying residents of Thurrock for months belongs to Lakeside.

The bus, which is completely orange except for a white sign that says #theorangebus, was revealed on Friday as belonging to the shopping centre when those who visited the bus were given the chance to win shopping gift cards.

Izzie Peskett, marketing manager for Lakeside, said: “The aim of the orange bus was always simply to raise a smile and inject some fun into the region that we serve, as a reflection of our new brand and our company values.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response the bus has received, both in real life and via social media.

“We’re delighted it has brought some happiness to our community – especially because no-one knew we were behind it until now.”

Excellent News.
Many Thanks For bringing it to my attention, the concern i have had since last June 2013 can now be put at ease....although having 'Lakeside' on the front and it matching the Orange In-tu colour scheme and cruising around 'Lakeside shopping centre picking people up since August last year might have gave the game away.
