How awful, sincerly hope it wasn't down, to some one attempting to bypass the meter, and use the gas supply for free, the root cause of similar tragedies of late...

How typical of you. Thinking the worst of everyone as usual.

    Shut up.

Tina, I suggest you set up the appeal through the local papers. You will generate more publicity and that will put it on a more official basis. Also this website is good for setting up funds. http://www.justgivin

Not everyone is on facebook. Personally I avoid it like the plague.

I sincerely hope the people involved come through this. How absolutely shattering.

The investigators will be looking at each and every avenue of inquiry into this tragic event, and unlike your plague, will discover the truth and reason.

Not nearly as rare as they should be! Some people do not understand the dangers of gas and the devastation it can cause! All it takes is a small leak on a badly maintained appliance and the flick of a light switch!

I hope everyone involved makes a full recovery, however I also hope that the up to date pictures and reports go some way to showing people what can and does happen and hopefully prevent this in the future!

Although it is yet to be concluded what the actual cause was (other than gas). It could have been a leak on the gas main etc.

A massive well done to the amazing repsonse by the emergency services and the kind and caring community who are helping those affected!

It seems to be the prime source of these types of explosion lately. Some fella blew up an entire terrace recently. When the gas Cos. checked, half the street were bypassing the meters.

It happens and is on the increase.

It is very rude of you to tell someone to 'shut up' just because you disagree with their opinion.
