WORK could start on the Grand Hotel as soon as next month.

The landmark building in Leigh Broadway will undergo a massive £4.5million revamp lasting up to 18 months.

Former Towie star and businessman Mick Norcross tweeted to say “Work starts early February on the Grand Hotel “I can't wait to bring this amazing Victorian building to life again.”

It will be renamed the the Grand Boutique Hotel and will have 14 bedrooms, a piano lounge, bar, restaurant and tea rooms and luxurious spa.

As I understand it, he has the keys to the place now. I suspect the builders haven't been sitting around waiting for a phone call, so like all building works it will have to be scheduled.
