Mark Harrison, 41, of Ashfields, Pitsea, admitted assault. He assaulted Oluremi Agbaje by beating him in Pitsea, on November 26. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

John Kerr, 40, of Grapnells, Basildon, admitted theft. He stole £122 of meat from Tesco on November 25. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Simon Hawkes, 49, of Southend Road, Wickford, admitted breaching his community order. He failed to turn up for unpaid work on October 26 and November 2. He was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

Kelly Allen, 32, of Devonshire Road, Laindon, was found guilty in her absence of driving without insurance. She drove her car on June 14 despite it not meeting insurance requirements. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £110 and a £20 victim surcharge.

John Castle, 38, of Stonechat Road, Billericay, was found guilty in his absence of driving a vehicle without road tax. He used the unlicensed vehicle on March 18. He was fined £652 and ordered to pay £247 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.

Kerry Doyce, 39, of Rayleigh Road, Leigh, was found guilty in her absence of driving a vehicle without road tax. She used the unlicensed vehicle in Pargat Drive, Leigh, on June 18. She was fined £600 and ordered to pay £184.59 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.

Sarah Gladden, 27, of London Road, Leigh, was found guilty in her absence of driving a vehicle without road tax. She used the unlicensed vehicle on Eastbourne Grove, Westcliff, on April 23. She was fined £700 and ordered to pay £212 vehicle excise back duty and costs of £90.

David Rose, 48, of Epsom Close, Billericay, was found guilty in his absence of owning an uninsured car. He was found to be the owner of a vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements on June 19. He was fined £20 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
