Two more men have been arrested in connection with a festival goer’s death.

Paul Wickerson, 32, died after he was struck by a car while walking along Lower Burnham Road, Cold Norton, in August.

He had left the Brownstock festival at Stow Maries 20 minutes earlier.

A 29-year-old man from Shoeburyness was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and a 36-year-old man from Southend was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

They were arrested today and have been bailed until February 19 pending further enquiries.

Mr Wickerson, who lived in Australia, left Brownstock in Woodham Road at about 10.21pm on Saturday, August 31.

He died at about 10.45pm in Lower Burnham Road, near the junction with Fambridge Road.

A 48-year-old man from Ilford and a 32-year-old man from Sawbridgeworth, Herts were arrested in October on suspicion of manslaughter.

They have been bailed until January 28 pending further enquiries.
