A ROBBIE Williams tribute act’s dream came true when he got to sing with the man himself!

Chart-topping Robbie was in the middle of an intimate gig when he spotted a man he thought was his double in the front row.

In fact, it was his tribute act – and self-confessed biggest fan – Scott Borley, from Basildon, who performs as Maximum Robbie.

Scott, 39, had bagged tickets to the London gig through radio station Magic FM when his girlfriend won a competition.

But what happened next was beyond Scott’s wildest dreams.

He said: “The dream has always been to sing with him, but I didn’t want to think about it because I didn’t think it would happen.

“Then, after his sixth song, Robbie stopped and said: ‘Hang on a minute, I’m looking at a mirror here’.

“He asked who I was. I told him I was a tribute act and he asked if I wanted to sing with him.

“Next thing I know, he’s helping me up on stage.”

The pair sang Dream a Little Dream of Me from the superstar’s latest album, with Robbie singing the part sung by Lily Allen and Scott singing Robbie’s part.

Scott, who has been Maximum Robbie for more than five years, said: “Half of me just wanted to break down and bawl at his feet and the other half was saying ‘don’t mess this up’.

“It was absolutely amazing. I was wearing practically the same thing, too, so we looked identical.”

Scott didn’t manage to speak to Robbie afterwards, but he did get the thumbs-up from his hero over his performance.

Scott said: “I became a tribute act after singing Angels in my mum’s back garden. My family said I could sing. It’s great to know he thinks the same.”
