ONE man has died and another is in hospital after a shooting at a house.
Essex Police were called to the property in Orsett, just after 3pm today. They found a man dead at the scene, on Hemley Road, and took another man to a London hospital.
The injured man is being treated for gunshot wounds and police officers are by his bedside. His condition is not yet known.
A firearm was recovered from the property, which is on a street mostly consisting of detached red-brick houses in the south west of the county.
An investigation has been launched by the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate but they are not looking for anyone else. The two men, whose ages have not been released by police, are thought to be known to each other.
