Her brother, Matthew Sargent, 29, is charged with attempting to murder his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend in Osier Drive, Noak Bridge, on August 22.
She was taken to Basildon Hospital and being transferred to a London hospital for treatment to serious head and facial injuries.
Emily Sargent, of Ascot Grove, Basildon, is alleged to have washed her brother’s clothes the day after the attack.
Both will appear before Basildon Crown Court on December 2.
