Man charged with Leigh robbery

A MAN accused of being involved in a robbery that left a woman seriously hurt in her own home has been remanded in custody.
Marcine Stecki, 21, of no fixed abode, is charged with one count of robbery and a separate count of possessing an offensive weapon in connection with a robbery ataLeigh home in July.
Kim Hyde, aged in her 50s, was left with a fractured hand and eye socket and cuts and bruises to her face after two men allegedly forced their way into her home in Woodside, Leigh, on July 24.
Stecki is charged with stealing £50 from Ms Hyde and having a stun gun on him at the time.
At Southend Magistrates’ Court he indicated he will deny the offences.
He was remanded in custody until December 23 for a plea hearing at Basildon Crown Court.
A second suspect has not yet been arrested.
