Burglars are everywhere. Are the police sleeping or what ? .
Add to that the views (below) from the clown of our new Police and Crime Commissioner, and you will see we have no chance.

The shrinking budget will also leave Mr Alston facing difficult choices about which crimes to tackle. Arguably Essex’s biggest problem is burglary, which has risen steadily in many areas in recent years – but Mr Alston says there is little he can do to tackle it. He would rather channel resources into tackling the high number of deaths and injuries on the county’s highways.
“If you’re a good burglar and you don’t leave a forensic trail, you’re not going to get caught unless somebody grasses you up,” he says.
“I would rather have a really good information campaign to members of the public to buy a decent lock on your front door. If everyone had a good lock on your door and locked it, you’d have far less burglary. That’s the simple fact.
“Burglary matters, but 750 people being seriously injured or killed every year matters a hell of a lot more to me. Preventing road casualties is probably more tractable as a problem than burglary. So what do we really care about? That’s the debate.”
Why not write to him rather than slag off the police in general?

We had two well known Southend companies in neither were acceptable and one lied to us and said he was Police approved, he was not, and he was dearer than the real police approved company.
A friend of ours got a local company in paid the money then had to get another company in to put a new alarm system in because the first was not accepted by the insurance company or Police.
Be warned in Southend most companies are not acceptable.
Don't get burgled then ripped off by alarm companies.
