Pair jailed for seven years following Billericay drive-by shooting

TWO men have been jailed for seven years following a drive-by shooting in Billericay.

Patrick Flanigan, 26, and John Turner, 27, fired five shots at a BMW parked outside a home in Mill Road on May 17 last year as part of a family feud.

Both men were found guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to cause members of the Fay family to believe unlawful violence would be used against them.

Flanigan, of Oak Road South, Benfleet, and Turner, of Sadlers Hall Road, Benfleet, were cleared of possessing a firearm to endanger life and having ammunition to endanger life.

Judge David Owen-Jones sentenced them to seven years in prison today.
