Robbers threaten man with knife

ROBBERS threatened a  man with a knife in a Shoebury street yesterday.

The 22-year-old local man was punched before the blade was pulled out on him.

He then had cash taken.

It happened on the pathway from Delaware Road to Ness Road between 4.30pm  and 5.30pm.

He describes one of the suspects as a white man, aged 20 to 25, about 6ft tall, broad build, with short black hair, and a crooked nose and wearing a red tracksuit. He had a London accent.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information about the suspects is asked to contact Det Con Richard Yapp at Southend CID on 101.

sav25 - Why do you bring Leigh into anything? We are commenting on the fact that the local old bill and council think that we are a near enough crime free town because we have been awarded a 'purple' flag, yet everyday we read about more and more crime. If we were talking about Shoebury retards then you might have a point!
