Burglars target three homes in a road in Shoebury

FAMILIES are being warned to keep their homes secure after burglars targeted three homes in a road in Shoebury on the same night.

The thieves forced they way into two properties in Frobisher Way between midnight and 6am on Tuesday.

The raiders gained access in once case through an insecure back door, and another by forcing open the window.

A purse was stolen from one address and a handbag from the other.

The suspects then tried to break into another house in the same road on the same night, but were unsuccessful.

Police are urging residents to make sure they close and lock all doors and windows properly before going to bed.

The thieves were unsuccessful in breaking into the third house because it was properly secured.

Anyone who has information that could help officers with their investigation or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact Pc Paul Gutteridge at Southend Police Station on 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

'The thieves were unsuccessful in breaking into the third house because it was properly secured.'

In other words, you can't crack a safe house!

Anyone who enters a private persons home uninvited should be given a minimum of 10 years. Its a despicable crime committed by parasites. Giving 10 years for this pond-life crime will help by at least 95% to eradicate it. But these scum will get caught and get a few weeks community work and a still telling off, whilst the persons that had there house raped will suffer the for many years.

To be fair, there was a guy from Shoebury on the echo last week.

He got 5 years (although it was reduced to 2.5 after he sent letters & had apparently shown genuine remorse)

Then again he committed over 70 crimes.......

Plodspeak for 'the first house, the dozy sods left the back door open, the second a window and the third wasn't an open invitation to thieving scum.

A guard dog is the best deterrent for a property. A Rottweiler or Alsation, prefrably 2 or both, will almost 100% stop a burgalar. Theres these 2 rottweilers at a property near the Five Bells, they are always outside on patrol and anyone who would dare to step foot into that place would have a death wish. Thats of course if you want to look after 2 Rottweilers..
