Man left in hospital after motorbike crash in Southend
A MAN was left with serious injuries following a crash in Southend.
The 48 year-old, from Shoebury, is being treated for injuries to both his legs after he fell off his motorbike in Eastern Avenue just before 2pm on Saturday.
The air ambulance was called and landed on the nearby Jones Memorial Recreation Ground, but was not needed.
A land ambulance took the man to Southend Hospital.
It is believed that the rider was thrown from his motorbike after it struck the kerb close to the junction with Sutton Road.
Officers believe that no other vehicles were involved in the crash, but are appealing for witnesses to conatact them.
