Leaning load of jeans impounded on lorry
A LEANING load of jeans- being carried illegally and precariously on a lorry - were stopped and impounded by traffic cops.
Officers from Essex Police’s commercial vehicle unit could hardly believe their eyes when they stopped the truck on the M25 at Thurrock.
The vehicle, which had come from Romania, was so overloaded with a cosignment of jeans its loads was virtulaly toppling over and officers believe it is the most unsafe load they have ever recovered during a stopcheck.
It was escorted to the Moto Services, where police were carrying out their checks, where it was impounded until its pallets were safely reloaded.

this photo i think may be taken from the worng side to show the load swinging all i know is the top of the trailer is very curved which is a bad sign the trailer is defective you can see all the wodden boards in place at the front of the trailer which indicates to me all the 4 supporting side supports are locked into place so the roof whould not be like that even with all the supports unlocked the roof would be less then one fifth as bend as the photo shows, point 2 the lower board is not enough their should be 3 boards in this position at ground level also their are 4 ratchet straps on the outside of the vehicle which indicates the trailer roof is not secured properly to the box sections that swing from offside of the trailer to near side my guess is that this trailer is defective and should not really be allowed to be reloaded

nebs let me clarafry for you what would of happened i work for britians top 2 exporter to europe, the load securing is the responsiabality of the driver so yes the driver will be sanctioned with some form of fine and as for the load if a highways agency deem the load dangerous the lorry is taken to a uk company for the load to be unloaded and reloaded then the company is fined and charged for the appropiate warhouseing costs applicable for time in reworking the load this also happens in countrys the uk export to the german police are **** hot on fining our company in piticularly ,
