POLICE officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a road crash on the M25 near Thurrock.
The collision happened on the anti-clockwise carriageway at Junction 31 shortly after 7am on Wednesday, December 19. Three cars and two lorries all struck each other.
Two women and two men were conveyed by paramedics to three separate hospitals in the region. They have all either been discharged or remain in stable conditions.
A 35-year-old man from Chatham in Kent was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has been released on police bail until Sunday, February 17, 2013 pending further enquiries.
