ROAD, rail and flights are running well despite freezing fog around the county.

Gritters were out in force overnight as temperatures plunged to -3 degrees.

Essex Police is warning motorists some roads will still be icy after low temperatures overnight. Drivers are urged to slow down and leave plenty of space between them and the car in front.

Flights to Dublin, Belfast and Amsterdam left Southend airport on time this morning and there is no disruption to future flights although passengers can check the latest here: www.southendairport.com

There were minor delays of 12 minutes on the Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street line earlier this morning and some disruption due to a train fault.

The c2c line from Shoebury to London Fenchurch Street is running shorter trains this morning due to a fault on one of last night's services.

So crawling traffic and total congestion doesn't count then?? Only took 1.5 hours to do a normally 30 minute journey this morning?
