Armed police block off road in Langdon Hills after domestic incident (From Southend Standard)

ARMED police have closed off a road in Langdon Hills after a domestic incident.

Officers and the police helicopter arrived at Amersham Avenue just after midday after reports that a man had made violent threats to his partner.

The cordon has now been widened as police continue their operation in the area.

It is believed the man is in the house and armed cops have surrounded the property.

is this connected to what sounded like a series of three gunshots along Upper Mayne at about 16:15 hrs this afternoon?
