c2c trains on the Shoebury to London Fenchurch Street line are disrupted after two people were hit by trains

Trains were cancelled and delayed all day today after two people were hit and killed by trains on the same line.
Passengers on the c2c line running from Shoebury to London Fenchurch Street were told to wait for buses as the trains were suspended.
c2c urgedd customers at Leigh and stations east to go to Southend Central and walk to Southend Victoria to continue their journey to London.
Buses picked up stranded passengers and took them to Pitsea. Trains from Pitsea to London were still running.
A second person was killed between Pitsea and Basildon just before 3pm this afternoon.
The train involved in the second incident is the 14:20 Shoebury to London Fenchurch Street service which was stopped on the London side of Pitsea.
