THOUSANDS of people turned out to remember the fallen men and women of the armed forces in services across south Essex today.
Parades took place through Basildon town centre, Castle Point and at the Cenotaph in Southend.
Wreaths were laid at all memorials and hymns were sung and prayers given at ceremonies throughout south Essex.
In Southend, thousands joined together at the cenotaph to remember our war dead.
Hundreds more attended services in Basildon, Wickford, Rayleigh and Canvey.
