Pervert Scout leader escapes jail term

A WORRIED dad caught a Scout leader and trainee teacher making sexual advances towards his son after monitoring the teenager's Facebook page.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, found explicit conversations between Christopher Pimm , 24, and his 15-year-old son on the social networking site.

Pimm, of Great Fox Meadow, Kelvedon Hatch, had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act and two counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

 

He had also admitted two counts of making indecent images and movies of children after police found documents on his computer.

At Basildon Crown Court today, Wednesday, Pimm avoided a prison sentence and was instead made subject to a community order for three years under which he will be supervised and must complete a sex offenders programme.

He will also be on the Sex Offenders Register and be made subject of a SOPO (sexual offences prevention order) for five years. 

All of the incidents date back to 2011 and involved Pimm becoming friends with three teenage boys, from Brentwood, Basildon and Ilford, east London, on the social networking.
