Woman attacked by robber at Southend East railway station

A WOMAN was knocked to the ground by a robber at Southend East railway station.
The attack happened after the 60-year-old victim got off a train and the crook tussled with her.
Her mobile phone and glasses were stolen, It happened at about 6pm on Monday, October 29 when the platform would have been crowded with passengers.
Police believe they may have seen the man loitering around before the attack and then running off after the robbery.
He is described as white, aged in his late teens, slim, about 5ft 6ins tall and was wearing a dark coat.
The woman was uninjured.
Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Southend police station on 101.

No, i'm not suggesting she sellotape it to her ear. Southend East is notorious for muggings, pays to be a little more diligent there. If her mobile was in her bag rather than her hand it would have been a bit more difficult to steal it from her.

While we're at it, lets announce that we're scared to go on the Tube, in a Plane and anywhere near large important buildings through fear or terrorism.
Seriously, just get on with your life. This stuff happens, always has, always will. Be precautious but don't hide away for the rest of your life.

Not the first and most certainly will not be the last. Im glad I dont commute from there anymore.
