Artists will be showing their work in Rochford as part of this year's Art Trail

Rochford Art Trail launches tomorrow marking the finale of the year's cultural events.

From Saturday, October 27, the week-long and ever-popular Rochford Art Trail will take place with more than 100 artists, students, arts and crafts groups showing their work in shops.

The Rochford Art Trail launch event on Saturday will feature an arts and crafts market at the WI Hall and arts activities around the Town Square. Visitors can also drop into the Essex Adult Community Learning centre to try a variety of art techniques and Rochford Hospital will be hosting an Arts & Health Market Place and drumming workshops.

Big Draw workshops are also taking place throughout the week and there will also be a Tiny Trail for both children and the whole family to enjoy.

Councillor Jeremy Lucas, cabinet member for culture, said: “Concluding a truly extraordinary season of art, I would encourage all residents to visit this final Essex Art Trail. During Rochford’s Art Trail next week there will be works from over 100 artists in a wide-range of venues. There will also be artistic inspired events for the whole family to attend around the town.”
