Murder trial collapses

A MURDER trial has collapsed after less than a fortnight.
The jury were dismissed in the case of Roy Sly, 53, who died at his Station Road flat in January.
A retrial has now been set for Vincent Harty, 39, of Wakering Avenue, Shoebury, and Peter Smith, 38, of Furnace Row, Troed-y-rhiw, Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, who both deny murder between January 8 and 10.
The trial is set for November 19.
