Police appeal after wheelchair theft
4:26pm Friday 25th November 2011 in News By Ryan McCarthy
A CALLOUS thief stole a wheelchair from outside a house.
The chair was stolen from outside a home in Prince Avenue, Westcliff, when it was momentarily left unattended.
The red chair, which was decorated with stickers of the band JLS, belonged to a woman in her 40s and is worth about £250.
The wheelchair was stolen at about 4.45pm on Friday, November 11.
Anyone with information can call PC Hazel Williams at Leigh police station on 101.

Whoever done this, ought to be put in a room full of bouncers and let him beg for his life, that will teach the little sh*t what real justice is like.

Can anybody remember what they were doing that long ago? (11th Nov.)
Anyway, princes avenue looks fairly well off, at least from the A127 to the hospital road junction so, get a neighbourhood collection up at least!
(Please note: attempt at light hearted humour only. Please don't stick the knives in, I am feeling frail today!)

Saxonpride... if you have a starving family, you steal food, not a disabled person's wheelchair which may be their only way of moving more than a few feet. And if you have a starving family in this country, the chances are that's because you've blown all your benefit money on drugs anyway.
Rest assured, no matter how awful the crime - society is somehow to blame.

What a kind gesture it would have been for the echo to turn up with a photographer and a new chair.
