New residents' association for St Luke's ward

ST LUKE'S Residents’ Association is holding its first meeting tomorrow evening.

Organised by the ward’s new Independent councillor Paul Van Looy, the meeting starts at 7pm in the Ferndale Baptist Church hall in Ferndale Road.

Chairman, Brian Ayling, said: “We feel, though there are several associations working very effectively to create a better St Luke's, the ward is so diverse we need a combined voice.

“This association will represent all groups and residents within the ward.”

Police will attend to talk about the latest discussions and initiatives involving the Neighbourhood Action Panel.

Sadly, I can't make tomorrow's meeting but I see this as a positive move forward for the area.
I sincerely hope that this association can become a unifying umbrella for everyone in the ward particularly some of our councillors who seem to have been rubbishing others since the elections. I would suggest they use this opportunity to ensure they are representing the views of their electors, you saw what happened in May, be warned, represent us truly or the ballot box will decide.....

Nice to see one of our ward councillors doing something public facing when there isn't actually an election looming. Good work!

You are 100% correct wrong and not a constituted meeting if it really is their first meeting.

Execute the Chairman instantly.
