Police would like to speak with a woman in connection with an assault outside a Co-op in Rochford.
The woman was seen walking into the store in Golden Cross Parade at around 4.10pm, where police say she stole a number of items worth a two-figure sum.
The suspect was challenged by a woman walking in the shop.
The worker was then grabbed by the throat and pushed away.
The suspect has been described as being aged in her 30s, 5ft 7ins tall and of an average build.
