Police were forced to rescue a car that became stranded in the sea.
A video from Shoebury beach shows a blue car dangerously close to being washed out to sea.
Police managed to successfully tow the car from the beach.
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.
Essex Police's Roads Policing Sergeant, Colin Shead, posted the footage on his Twitter, adding: "We managed to tow the vehicle off of the beach and avoided the car being washed out to sea. Thankfully nobody was injured."
In an earlier tweet at 3.34am, he said: "currently on scene in Shoeburyness assisting the driver of this vehicle recover it from the River Thames."
