Southend high street is set to lose another major retailer as Top Shop has announced it will close its store in the town this summer.
The store will officially close its doors on Saturday June 16, leaving yet another empty unit in the high street.
A spokesman for Top Shop said: "Topshop Topman Southend will cease trading on Saturday 16th June due to landlord redevelopment.
"We will endeavour to offer current staff other employment options.
"Our customers can still visit the nearby Topshop Topman Basildon store or shop online at Topshop.com and Topman.com"
It is unknown if the retailer is looking to relocate to another site in Southend or whether they are leaving the town completely.
