EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a horrific crash which left six pedestrians with serious injuries.
Officers with Essex Police are working alongside paramedics following reports of a car crashing into six people in Furtherwick Road, Canvey.
One casualty is described as being in a life-threatening condition, one has potentially life-changing injuries and four have serious injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing up to four ambulances and multiple police vehicles, while crews with Essex and Herts Air Ambulance assisted.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "All are being taken to hospital.
"A section of the road is currently closed while officers and paramedics deal with the incident.
"We ask people to please avoid the area while this work continues, and ask any witnesses to contact us on 101 quoting reference 770 of April 14."
