An Essex-based club of Triumph car enthusiasts is gearing up to celebrate its 40-year milestone in Basildon.

Around 30 classic cars from the Essex Triumph Sports 6 Club (TSSC) are set to drive around Essex on Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8 to celebrate the occasion.

Around 60 members will spend two days journeying past previous meeting points in the region.

Member Mike Titchen said: “We’re really proud that the club has been running for nearly 40 years, and think the milestone is worthy of a big celebration.”

Saturday will see the group travel to The Secret Bunker at Kelvedon Hatch before returning to the Campanile Hotel in Basildon for a 70s disco. The group will then make a final trip on Sunday morning past various former meeting venues before ending up at The Wings Cafe at North Weald Airfield.
