The air ambulance has landed in Pitsea.
Surprised residents watched it land at about 9am this morning in Chestnut Avenue.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted.
Sammi Ridley, who lives in the road, said: "I saw an ambulance drive down my road just as I come back from work.
"Within 5 minutes of being indoors I heard a helicopter which sounded really close.
"So I looked out the bedroom window and watched it land. There was snow blowing everywhere and the pilot landed it brilliantly in my opinion.
"I saw 3 paramedics run out of the helicopter, however, they didn’t take a patient with them. I just hope everyone who was involved is OK."
Update: 10.25am
Police forensics have now left the scene.
Police have been contacted for comment.
