The Pink Toothbrush is facing a licence review after concerns were raised about the conduct of door staff.

Essex Police's licensing team submitted paperwork to Rochford District Council on Wednesday, February 7, asking for a summary review of the licence to sell alcohol and provide music at Pink Toothbrush, in High Street.

The council agreed yesterday to suspend the licence and imposed a condition that the door supervisors employed by the venue received additional training or the venue adopt alternative SIA trained door agency staff.

However, the Toothbrush has now hired third party door staff and so are allowed to remain open.

Essex Police originally issued a statement that the Toothbrush had its licence suspended. This is not the case as it has now met the requirements and can open tonight.
