Teams of pupils at Westcliff High School for Boys have reached the national swimming finals at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
The school entered teams for the Regional Secondary School Relay Competition 2017 and are celebrating after qualifying for the finals at the London Aquatic Centre in Stratford, to be held this Saturday.
The junior boys participants posted times that equalled them with the top third of contestants in the UK.
Tom Morrish, the school’s director of sport, said: “This is a great achievement and shows not only the hard work and dedication of the pupils, but also that of the sports department, most especially Martin Atkinson, identifying our talented sportsmen here at Westcliff High School for Boys.”
