Castle Point’s mayor saw Essex’s army cadets awarded for their hard work.
Brian Wood attended Essex Army Cadet Force awards evening in Chelmsford.
The Corps of Drums opened and closed the awards with their fabulous uniform and excellent musical skills.
Awards were given to cadets for a range of achievements including outstanding contribution to sport and music and the Lord Lieutenant of Essex Cadet medal. Mr Wood said: “It was hard to believe that four members of the band had only learnt to play a drum a week earlier. It was an excellent evening and we felt privileged to be there. These young people from across Essex deserve so much credit for being great ambassadors not only for our borough but for our county too.”
